Greetings from Cold Southern Quito

Wow, who would have thought that July in South America would require jeans, sweatshirts and jackets! We arrived in South Quito last night and are staying with a Pastor and his wife, Fabian and Mabe. We´ll be here for about a week helping out with VBS doing English and guitar lessons, giving testimonies at the youth group meeting and assisting anywhere else that we can. We survived the bus ride from Peru to Quito, Ecuador. This time it only took 26 hours instead of 36. When we arrived at the seminary in Quito we were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded from a normal room to one of the apartments. We welcomed our own quarters with a normal bedroom, kitchen and bathroom.
Continue to pray that God will use us to bless Fabian and Mabe, the church and the community as our time in Ecuador winds down. Thank you again for all your comments and encouragement.

Hey guys - yeah, we were in Chicago without you :( Sorry! The trip was actually sponsored by one of the vendors for Michael's work, so we went with a big group from Sweetwater. We would love to come visit you in Ecuador, but by the time our passports were issued, you'd be home!!

So speaking of being home...we should be at Dad's on Saturday morning. Michael has to work Fri night. Do you know what the scoop is with the get-together at Aunt Dorri's house? Are we still doing that and do you know about what time? Looking forward to it! Hope you have a safe last couple of weeks down there!
